tomorrow is going to be a good day. vivian and ben are going to finally become husband and wife. and it’s my first wedding of the year.

they are one of those couples who just “get” each other. they finish each other’s sentences. when we hung out, there were so many moments where it was like they had two conversations going on at once with just each other. we would be talking about one thing and all of the sudden the two of them were laughing about something completely different. our conversations derailed into these beautiful, inside jokes where vivian would remind ben of the way he really liked something and ben would ultimately agree wholeheartedly. it’s like she knew him better than he knew himself and vice versa.

and we laughed a lot.

they told me stories and continued to bounce back and forth remembering details seemingly insignificant and ultimately so delightful. their storytelling was like a dance where they took turns leading.

we ended up in their home, talking to their dog and having a few quiet moments. when i was editing i couldn’t help but love the way those moments were portrayed in black and white. so you’ll see a lot of black and white.
